Pickleball is a cross between tennis, badminton and table tennis, played on a badminton sized court but with a 3 foot high net using a large table tennis type bat (called a paddle) and a hollow plastic ball. It is usually played as doubles. Equipment is provided but you may wish to purchase your own paddle.

It is ideally suited for u3a groups and we play at varying levels from those who have been playing for some time to those who are new to the game.

Players should wear comfortable clothing suitable for racquet sports and non-slip soiled shoes suitable for an indoor court are required.
